The SigEp Chicago Society invites brothers, guests, and allies to the fourth annual Palm Springs Weekend, October 10-13, 2025, for a relaxed desert retreat focused on fellowship and fun.

The desert beckons, and brotherhood answers. After wrapping up Conclave and Chicago's Market Days, the SigEp Chicago Society sets its sights on the fourth annual Palm Springs Weekend this October. This isn't your over-programmed conference weekend—it's a low-key, interactive retreat designed for GBTQ+ brothers, guests, and allies to reconnect under the California sun.
Quick Facts
Dates: October 10-13, 2025
Location: Palm Springs, California
Accommodations: Self-arranged (hotels and vacation rentals available)
Dress Code: Desert casual, pool attire, sunglasses recommended
What's Planned
Friday: Arrival, dinner on your own, followed by Arenas district nightlife exploration.
Saturday: Morning brunch, afternoon shopping and choice of pool time, surfing, or hiking, and evening nightlife adventures.
Sunday: Drag brunch kicks off the day, followed by pool time (possibly at Ace Hotel & Swim Club) and dinner.
Monday: Farewell gatherings, with drag bingo for those extending their stay.
The weekend balances structured fellowship with free time to explore. Past participants have enjoyed everything from the famed Purple Room's showtunes to spa treatments and casino nights at Agua Caliente.
What to Expect
Brunch: Multiple opportunities to gather over delectable dishes and refreshing mimosas. Sunglasses recommended for obvious reasons.
Pool and Relaxation: Spend your days lounging poolside, soaking up California sun, and working on that desert tan. Day passes at local swim clubs may be arranged based on interest.
Nightlife: Palm Springs comes alive after dark, and so will we. From bar crawls showcasing the vibrant local scene to casino nights and drag bingo, there's something for every taste.
Cocktails and Mocktails: Early evening gatherings feature both spirited and spirit-free options, with the possibility of surprise visits from National Board members.
Where to Stay
Palm Springs offers numerous accommodation options within this relatively compact community. Brothers are responsible for arranging their own lodging through hotels or vacation rental platforms like VRBO and Airbnb.
Who's Coming
Last year, brothers from nearly a dozen chapters participated, joined by boyfriends, partners, and spouses. Special invited guests include Dina Calderon, first lady of Sigma Phi Epsilon and long-time ally, and National Board Director Scott Carr.
